Military Intelligence Service Heavily Criticized in Secret Report

A secret report by a commission headed by Harry Borghouts, the Royal Commissioner of the Province of Northern Holland, heavily criticizes the military intelligence and security services (MIVD), as well as the Ministry of Defense. A “high risk-high impact” operation in the Middle East has failed. Two officers were subsequently accused of corruption and dubious contacts and were suspended from the MIVD. The commission reached the conclusion that the facts do not support the measures taken against them.
