Parts of Monument Stolen

Six bronze wreaths have been stolen from the Resistance monument in Roermond. This was made public by a spokesman of the municipality. The monument had been unveiled 60 years ago by Prince Bernard. It memorializes 22 resistance fighters from the Province of Limburg who died during the Second World War in the battle against the German occupier. It is considered the province’s official monument for the resistance.
